About us

Christ Church is one of the five mainline churches in Noida, a church of the Diocese of Delhi, under the umbrella body of the Church of North India. Born 25 years ago, Christ Church has over 225 families as its members.  It is strategically located at the heart of Noida, overlooking the Botanical Garden Metro Station, with the Steeple of the church visible to all travellers alighting at this Metro Station.

Initiated by a handful of believers, the seeds of its existence were sown on 13th November 1988 when the first service was held in the home of Rev. Col. L. Massey, presided over by Bishop Maqbul Caleb. The Church was dedicated to the service of the Lord Jesus Christ on the 7th of December 1997. On 13th November 1994, the CNI Church Noida was re-christened Christ Church Noida. Bishop Pritam Santram laid the foundation stone for the present edifice in 1996, and Bishop Karam Masih consecrated it on 7th Dec 1997. It has taken the blessings and support of three Bishops to reach this far.  Rev.  Col.  Lawrence Massey was the founder presbyter of Christ Church, responsible for all the hard work that goes into the initiating and establishment of a religious edifice. He had the satisfaction of not only initiating worship in Noida but also of over-seeing the construction of the first chapel and building of the existing sanctum.

Our present Presbyter-in-charge is Rev. Sandeep David, and the Associate Presbyter is Rev. Simon, who is pastoring the Greater Noida congregation The church membership comprises of a blend of personal of the armed forces, both retired and serving, corporate executives, doctors and paramedical staff, teachers and businessmen and women.  Most of the transient professionals, in transferable jobs, from all parts of the country prefer to worship with us, as long as they are stationed in and around Noida.  The church has an extension in Greater Noida, which is growing at a fast pace.

This introduction about our church would be incomplete without a short description of Noida, which is one of the important satellite cities of Delhi. It would appear that both Noida and our church had grown together over a period of 25 years.  Noida has emerged as a planned, integrated, modern Industrial City that is well connected to Delhi through a network of roads, national highways, a speedway known as DND, and the Delhi Metro. Noida is one of the largest planned industrial townships of Asia and symbolizes the harmony between human habitat and Business Enterprise. It is part of the National Capital Region (NCR) and is spread over 20,316 hectares.

Can we count on you?
